Indian fans are having the time of their lives mocking the censor board’s decision to censor intimate scenes in the new James Bond film ‘Spectre’. Daniel Craig’s magnetic chemistry with Lea Seydoux and Monica Bellucci was deemed ‘too excessive’ for viewers which, as one would expect, sent the social media sphere into overdrive.
From statuses to memes to mock videos, there’s a plethora of gut-busting content on Twitter with the hashtag #SanskariJamesBond. The board reportedly also muted the words f**k and a**hole from the film, which for an action movie poses a big problem. Can you imagine Bad Boys or Die Hard without the F bomb?
Some Indian users have gone to painstaking lengths by photoshopping film stills, replacing Bond girls in bikinis with traditional Indian saris, and even covering up Craig’s torso in the ever famous beach scene from Casino Royale.
