Rafael Nadal officially took delivery of his fully customised 80-foot Sunreef yacht dubbed the ‘Great White’ and it looks as though it’s going to be smooth sailing. Sunreef released photos of the 34-year-old tennis great aboard his plush catamaran and Rafa’s smiling like he’s just won another grand slam.
The current World No. 2 first commissioned the superyacht back in July of 2019. The high-end cruiser has been specially designed for him and his wife Maria, combining five-star comfort with luxury interiors and exceptional power, courtesy of two 1200 horsepower engines that give her a top speed of 24 knots.
Built in composite, the Great White sports a sleek silhouette and fine lines for which the Polish shipyard is world-renowned. It houses a full-beam alfresco dining space at the stern, with a flat screen TV, and a luxurious fly-bridge where the couple can enjoy a drink at the bar. It also features a wide hydraulic swim platform with an open deck to sunbathe by the water.
The superyacht’s interiors are equally impressive. The total sizeable living space spans just shy of 4,000 square feet, and is one of the largest in its class. It has been fully kitted out with no expense spared to the exacting standards of the King of Clay.
A jaw-dropping master bedroom sits at the nucleus, with a flip-down TV above the bed, a walk-in closet bigger than most New York City apartments, and a private foldout balcony where the Spaniard can bask in the sunlight. The yacht can accommodate eight guests across three spacious cabins and a starboard owner’s suite (servants quarters are separate).
