With Facebook introducing ‘Reactions’ and Snapchat wooing its users with hilarious new effects, Twitter is slowly warming up to the idea of change.
A 140-character limit can be very annoying when you’ve got a lot to say. Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey said in August that the company was re-evaluating its fundamentals “in order to make the product easier and more accessible to more people.”
After removing the character limit on Twitter direct messages last month, the company is said to be developing a different product, that Re/code reports “would enable Twitter users to publish long-form content to the service.”
There is no news at present as to what the product will look like, but let’s hope it’s something amazing as the company strives to grow its user base.
