Maserati Quattroporte… Everything sounds better in Italian, don’t you think? Literally translated into English as Maserati ‘four-door’, the Italian luxury sportscar manufacturer is at it again, with the 2015 Quattroporte.

Maserati’s new saloon rocks a spacious interior with a large touchscreen for SatNav control. It also features a 1280-watt Bowers & Wilkins audio system, adjustable pedals, a rear-view camera and this was our favorite, standard WiFi. Standing toe-to-toe with BMW’s ultimate 7-Series and the new Jaguar XJ, Maserati’s newest model is priced at a whopping $143,890 — more than both its competitors.

The Specs

Vehicle Type: front-engine, rear wheel-drive, 5-passenger, 4-door sedan

Engine Type: twin-turbocharged and intercooled DOHC 32-valve V8, aluminum block and heads, direct fuel-injection

Displacement: 3797 cc

Power: 523 hp @ 6800 rpm

Transmission: 8-speed tiptronic

Zero to 100 mph: 10.3 sec

When compared to its competitors the 2015 Quattroporte compromises on both noise and handling, and doesn’t really live up to that ‘Maserati’ class. But for a man who buys cars with his heart not with his head, the Quattroporte’s appeal is totally justifiable!
