These days, Bollywood action flicks have come very close to Hollywood. For example, the remake of Tom Cruise’s ‘Knight and Day’ called ‘Bang Bang’ had over the top stunts and action scenes by none other than Bollywood heartthrob Hrithik Roshan. According to Hindustan Times, the ‘Greek God of Bollywood’ is getting a Hollywood casting call. Roshan has stated that he will be involved in a Hollywood film project this year.
Roshan was asked to be part of ‘Pink Panther 2’ that also featured Bollywood hottie Aishwarya Rai Bachan, but turned it down. The ‘Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai’ star was quoted by Indiatimes saying, “Yes, I have a Hollywood project this year.”
No other information about his film project is available. Last September, there were rumors that director Rob Cohen was in talks with Hrithik on a project. Cohen has directed several high-octane blockbusters including ‘The Fast and the Furious’, Sylvester Stallone’s ‘Daylight’, ‘XXX’ and Jennifer Lopez’s recent ‘The Boy Next Door’. There is no confirmation as yet that the director is working with Roshan as of now. If it does indeed happen, we may just see a ‘desi’ version of ‘The Fast and the Furious’.
Roshan has shown his penchant for physical roles and action scenes. His good looks, wavy hair and physique would make him a perfect knight in shining armor for any Hollywood actress. His dramatic range has been seen in films including ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham’ and ‘Jodhaa Akbar’.
Roshan’s next film project in Bollywood is ‘Mohenjodaro’ which he is currently filming.
