Cupertino-based tech giant Apple Inc. recently registered a number of coveted internet domains for their much-talked about ‘Project Titan’.

According to The Wall Street Journal, Apple’s electric car already has a ship date of 2019. With less than three years to go, the company has registered the domains: apple.car, apple.cars and apple.auto.

Last year, Apple CEO Tim Cook’s trip to Germany was heavily reported on by media as he met with BMW. Reuters reported that BMW’s i3 electric car was the chief subject of interest for the Apple boss.

In addition to snapping up the new domains, Hypebeast reports that Apple has also begun hiring employees with an automotive background, and questioning California’s GoMentum Station about the possibility of testing a car at the former naval base.
