Last week saw the whole of B-town stepping out to celebrate the festival of Diwali in style. From the annual Bachchan bash to Aamir Khan’s and Ekta Kapoor’s respective GT’s, the who’s who of tinsel town were in attendance at their fashionable best. The divas dazzled in lehengas, sarees and all things colorful not to mention, oh so blingy… after all it was ‘Divali!’ Here’s a list of a few of the best dressed ladies from the festive week gone by:

Deepika Padukone
For Aamir Khan’s Diwali bash, she wore a red and gold Sabyasachi saree, one that she’d previously donned while promoting her new film ‘Happy New Year’. There’s not much on the styling and makeup front that she changed from her last outing. A slightly different bun maybe but the Amrapali earrings and the red pout remained the same. Adding a gold clutch, she finished off her look with a tiny golden bindi. Now those are the kind of Deja-vu’s we don’t mind! Deeps looked lovely… but then again when does she not?

Nargis Fakhri
Also a guest at the Aamir Khan residence, in a cherry SVA by Sonam and Paras Modi. She accessorized with teal earrings from Currio Cottage. Simple hair, a red bindi, pink lips and peep toe pumps finished out her look. The glam goddess looked simply gorgeous in these traditional nine yards. We hope to see this par-desi queen dressed in desi attire more often though preferably, on our side of the border.

Shraddha Kapoor
In attendance at the grand annual Bachchan Diwali bash, Shraddha Kapoor stunned in a gorgeous emerald choli contrasted with an embroidered nude lehenga saree and a sheer netted dupatta by Anamika Khanna. She teamed the outfit with Anita Dongre earrings and a gold clutch. A red pout and soft wavy locks finished of her look.

Anushka Sharma
For the closing night event of the ‘MAMI’ film festival, Anushka Sharma donned a cream Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla saree. One that she paired with chandbali earrings, a statement ring and somewhat matching peep toes, topped-off by an ox-blood pout and her hair done up. The up-do let the blouse do all the talking, the oxblood lips complemented her colors to the core, and while this attire looked a bit overwhelming, we’ve got to give her props for carrying it off with such class.

Prachi Desai
Recently out of the limelight, Prachi showed up for Ekta Kapoor’s Diwali Party in a beautiful midnight blue lehnga from SVA by Sonam and Paras Modi. She looked simply stunning, exposing her midriff in this blue outfit embroidered with an intricate gold design and paired with an equally blue sheer dupatta. Prachi locked down this look with an elaborate up-do, juicily contrasting red lips, and a gold clutch to match!

Kangana Ranaut
Dubbed the ‘Queen of Quirk’; Kangana rocked a scarf-style draped dupatta on a Sanjay Garg number like a gangsta. While most other divas stuck with bold over the top lips and bronze in your face makeup, Kangana stood out with her simple yet elegant nude makeup.  The blue and gold lehenga bared her toned waistline and highlighted her thin frame. A black bindi and Dior bag added some oomph to her already rocking look.
