Fascinated with the Hindu Rajas and their palaces? Want to be treated like royalty? Then the Neemrana Fort-Palace in Rajasthan is the place for you!

Located approximately 108 km from Delhi Airport, the palace was first erected in the 14th century. Built on the side of a hill the now-boutique hotel, boasts some of the most exquisite views in the world.

Surrounded by lush green pastures the Neemrana Fort-Palace is spread over six acres of land. With 55 plush suites spread across 12-floors the hotel houses its own spa, a five-star restaurant, an amphitheater, a salon, two swimming pools and several well-equipped conference rooms. With prices starting at just $85-a-night, many of the suites in the hotel comprise of original pieces preserved from the time of the Rajas.

Aside from the ‘regular facilities’ that can be found in most hotels, the Neemrana Fort-Palace offers tourists a unique recreational activity – India’s first-ever zip ride that starts from the hillside atop the hotel and zips you all the way down to the villages below, all-the-while providing zip-liners with breathtaking views of the countryside.

Travelers staying at the palace are not only provided with efficient service, a luxurious stay, and of course a taste of authentic Indian cuisine, but are also given a lesson in history.

The palace dates back to the reign of the great Prithviraj Chauhan clan, who established Neemrana as their third capital. In the 20th century when Raja Rajinder Singh shifted to Vijay Bagh, the Neemrana Fort was left unattended.

Restoration work on the ruins of this imperial structure began in the late 1980s and it was declared a heritage site a few years later. Today, the awe-inspiring structure stands tall and sits among India’s top boutique hotels.
