With the World Cup kicking off in less than two months, some of the world’s biggest football stars come together in an innovative new ad for Nike, celebrating the world’s most-loved sport. ‘Winner Stays’, as it’s called, starts off in a park with a regular game of street football and slowly metamorphoses into football mayhem.

The longer four minute version of the advert features some of footballs most-renowned names including Portuguese sensation Cristiano Ronaldo, Brazilian prodigy Neymar, Italian veteran Andrea Pirlo, Belgian superstar Eden Hazard and Team England’s enigmatic forward Wayne Rooney.

And even though Swedish great Zlatan Ibrahimovich, won’t be participating in this year’s World Cup, his awe-inspiring stunts in the video show us exactly why he’ll be missed. German talent Mario Gotze gets in on the action, tussling with Ibrahimovic over who should take a free kick. The short clip also sees US and Everton goalkeeper Tim Howard turn into the Incredible Hulk and SMASHHH the ball away!!!

Sportswear giant Nike has always been at the forefront of creative advertising. Some of their previous World Cup campaigns include ‘The Cage’, ‘Take It to the Next Level’ and the classic ‘Airport’, which saw the 1998 Brazil side flaunt their skills at an international airport.

In addition to celebrating the beautiful game, the promotional video also features Nike’s latest Mercurial Superfly IV boots, expected to be worn by most players in this year’s football extravaganza.
