It appears Dubai has added yet-another title to its long list of accolades – Home to the ‘World’s Fastest Police Fleet’. The oasis in the desert boasts the most progressive police force in the Arab world with women making-up for nearly half the force. In addition, all officers earn law degrees while undergoing training.

Now, in an apparent effort to boost PR and breakdown barriers between Police and the local community, the Dubai Police Force has invested heavily in a fleet of supercars to market ‘Dubai Police Services’.

Some of the supercars in their incredible line-up include: the limited edition Aston Martin One-77, the Lamborghini Aventador, the Audi R8, the Ferrari FF, the Mercedes SLS, the Bentley GT Coupe, the Ford Mustang, the Nissan GT-R, the McLaren 12C, the Mercedes G55 AMG, a Harley Davidson motorcycle, and the fastest police car in the world with a top speed of 267 mph – the Bugatti Veyron.

Worth a staggering $6.5 million the ‘superfleet’ is an assemblage of the World’s best ‘Avengers’. In a country obsessed with wealth and image, the introduction of a superfleet shouldn’t come as much of a surprise… The city is already home to the World’s tallest man-made structure – the Burj Khalifa, the World’s largest shopping centre – the Dubai Mall, the World’s tallest hotel – the J W Marriott Marquis, and most-recently the World’s largest fireworks display.

Though, the UAE took quite a hammering when hit by the global financial crises, the oil-rich nation now seems to be making up for lost time… And missed opportunities!
