According to the latest research by Facebook, the four most popular days in the year to get engaged are: Valentine’s Day, New Year’s Day, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. In addition to the most popular days, the social network reported that 33% of users got engaged in the months of November and December.

The site gathered data from more than 2.5 million users in order to look for patterns in their social media activity. By analyzing the behavior of engaged couples, Facebook cited noticeable differences in their social media activity when compared to single people. So for instance, while it found that newly-engaged women ‘like’ more pages after getting engaged, it also noted that engaged guys send more direct private messages on the site than single men.

Hmm, interesting… Facebook also reported that the average age for engaged couples is 24 years old.
