Ibiza may be the heaven on earth for party animals all across the globe but we do not have to fly all the way to Spain for our party cravings. Dubai will soon be rivaling Ibiza to become the hottest destination for partying and free-flowing alcohol. According to LAD Bible, investors in Dubai are working on constructing an island especially for those who want to kick it on the dance floor.
The island is called Dream Island with a capacity of 20,000 that will be ready to drop it while it’s hot in two ‘mega clubs’, five hotels and 100 restaurants. It will be located in Ras Al Khaimah when it is finished. Once you land in Dubai, it’s only a 40 minute drive away. According to Arabian Business, it is set to be completed in 2018 and is looking to pull in $4.9 billion of investment. The island will cover a staggering 370,000 square meters. Dream Island is third of four islands that make up the entire Al-Marjan Island.
The Daily Mail quoted Al-Marjan Island sales and marketing director George Saad saying, “We’re trying to make it the new Ibiza – a mini Ibiza dedicated solely to partying. People will be able to come here, stay in the hotel party at clubs on the beach, anything in the world you can do… And we are trying to attract festivals to come here – like Burning Man.”
