Meet Mr. Shahid Khan – by far the World’s Richest Pakistani! The Florida-based multi-billionaire arrived in London to watch his National Football League (NFL) team the Jacksonville Jaguars play a NFL game at Wembley Stadium. He cruised onto the Thames last week in the epitome of style… at the helm of his brand-spanking new 308-foot long superyacht, aptly named ‘Kismet’. Mr. Khan acquired this new toy after selling his previous yacht (for a rumored £69 million last year), which stood at a mere 223-feet in comparison.

Assembled by the much-acclaimed German yacht builders Lurssen, the ‘Kismet’ reportedly features 6 staterooms (first class cabins) with Mr. Khan’s master stateroom boasting its own private deck and a Jacuzzi to boot. The ship also has its own heated swimming pool, as well as barbeque areas, a helipad and even a teal-eyed cast iron jaguar upfront in tribute to Mr. Khan’s beloved Jacksonville Jaguars. The superyacht can be chartered for a nominal £940,000-a-week.

According to reports, Mr. Khan is the world’s 367th wealthiest individual with a personal fortune of £3 billion. Besides the NFL team which he purchased back in 2012, he also owns English Premier League team Fulham FC, which he bought for a reported £200 million from former Harrod’s owner Mohammed Al Fayed.

Born in Lahore, it is believed that Mr. Khan traveled to the United States at the tender age of 16 to ‘chase the American dream’. He reportedly started off as a dishwasher, and earned a meager wage of $1.20 per hour, a fortune even today when compared to Pakistani wages. After obtaining an engineering degree from the University of Illinois, he went on to join the automotive manufacturing company Flex-N-Gate; a business he later purchased and expanded into a $4.4 billion car-parts giant.

After amassing such an obscenely large fortune, one has to wonder if Mr. Khan would ever dare to anchor at one of his native ports…
