To quote the great motoring journalist Jeremy Clarkson, “you can never have enough power!” And it appears the boys at AMG in Affalterbach agree, as they unveil the 2015 Mercedes Benz S65 AMG Coupe. When it comes to power ze Germans certainly know what they’re doing, make no mistake about it.

The 2015 S65 AMG Coupe is nothing short of spectacular. Powered by a monstrous 6-liter twin turbo V12 engine, it produces a staggering 621 hp and 738 pound-feet of torque. The power is channeled to the rear wheels through an AMG Speedshift seven-speed gearbox, which promises lightning fast gear changes and boasts a 0-100 km/h of just 4 seconds flat.

Apart from the brute force under the bonnet, the all-new S65 AMG Coupe is a clear upgrade from its predecessor the S63 AMG, in terms of both style and features. The S63’s most notable feature was a chrome grill which has now been replaced with a much larger, black mesh finish. The new model also features Active Body Control and Road Surface Scan, a function that actually allows the car to lean into bends for better handling.

The interior of the cabin looks like the First Class deck of a jetliner thanks to AMG leather, AMG sports seats designed specifically for long-distance comfort, and a newly-developed three spoke leather-wrapped steering. Additional options include a 360-degree parking camera, active park assist, adaptive cruise control, cross-traffic alert, a Burmester sound system and a 12.2 inch color TFT center display.

With pre-orders opening in the coming weeks and delivery set to begin by the end of the year, you better hurry up and book your $220,000 Mercedes-Benz S65 AMG Coupe before they all (*ahem *ahem) sell out!
