Somebody wise once said to me “Bro you can’t buy happiness… But you can buy a sportscar, and that’s basically the same thing!”
Sadly, irrespective of where you live in Pakistan things like VAT and import duty will bleed you dry and buying a sportscar isn’t always the most practical option… But who buys a sportscar to be practical anyway?
Then of course there are other factors to consider: sky-high insurance premiums, value depreciation, and security — nobody wants to spend 40 lakh on a sportscar and then another 40 lakh on a Vigo to ‘protocol’ you around town.

The only Hybrid on the list, there’s a lot more to Honda’s CRZ than meets the eye… Now I’ll be honest it took a while to grow on me, but I’ve learned (over time) to appreciate it for what it is – a 130 horsepower Japanese rocket! Powered by a nimble 1.5-liter engine, the CRZ is the perfect size car for the streets of Karachi. Fully-loaded with 23,000 km on-the-clock Honda’s hybrid hatchback will set you back a modest 23 lakhs.
2006 Porsche Boxster S
Vroom Vroom Shake the Room… Face it; no sportscar list is complete without a Porsche! Granted this happens to be the most expensive pre-owned car on the list, but for true sportscar enthusiasts it doesn’t get much better than this. A 2006 Porsche Boxster S with 60,000 km on the clock will set you back between 64-65 lakh rupees. Available in either a 2.7 or 3.2-liter engine, this convertible roadster is the pinnacle of German engineering (sort of). Are you an attention whore? Then THIS is the car for you!
