Renowned EDM superstar Deadmau5 recently listed his Ferrari 458 for sale on Craigslist. The progressive DJ revealed that once his uniquely wrapped Ferrari was sold, he would donate all the money raised from the sale to charity.

But according to The Huffington Post, Deadmau5 has since received a Cease-and-Desist notice from Ferrari USA, to remove the Nyan Cat wrap from his Ferrari if he wants to sell it. The DJ’s one-of-a-kind supercar is one of the most photographed Ferrari’s in the world, and apparently it was his custom ‘Purrari’ badges and associated emblems that Ferrari had a problem with…

According to several online sources the EDM star wasn’t too happy, and he took to Twitter to express his frustration tweeting, “I wonder if the jackass lawyer at @FerrariUSA who sent us a “cease and desist” letter over the purrari is un-butthurt now that I unwrapped.”

Online reports reveal Deadmau5 wrapped his 458 Italia in a distinctive blue vinyl, in honor of the legendary Nyan Cat. The DJ’s rare Ferrari became famous when it appeared in the 2014 Gumball Rally and several Coffee Run videos published on his YouTube page.

After receiving Ferrari’s notice, the popular DJ restored it to its original white color and removed all the custom ‘Purrari’ badges, floor mats and emblems. The Ferrari is now ready for sale in its ‘original’ condition.

The Ferrari 458 Italia was first unveiled in 2010, as a replacement for Ferrari’s F430. It is powered by a 4.5 liter V8 engine which produces a staggering 571 hp.  The car is capable of launching from a standstill to 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds and boasts a top speed of 325 km/h.
