Yesterday, the 2nd of March saw the 2015 Geneva Motor Show take center stage. And if you’re a regular reader of The Karachiite you know we promised to keep you up-to-date on what’s hot and what’s not… Well, we’ve talked a lot about Aston Martins, McLarens, Porsches etc. but this time, it was our favorite luxury motoring brand Bentley that stole our attention… Say Hello to the Bentley EXP 6 Speed Concept.
The concept is a British interpretation of a high-performance two-seater sports car using modern automotive design, highly-skilled handiwork, the finest materials in the world and state-of-the-art technology. The old Bentley Continental GT was a beast of a coupe but with this, the company launches a baby version.
The outside of the car consists of many vents and a brand-spankin-new look.
They even wrote ‘6’ into the grille, but in a much more trick way than you might imagine. The mesh includes “varying depth with a complex 3D geometry only visible when viewed at an angle.” That’s just showing off, but damn…
According to Top Gear, Bentley’s new brainchild is far from production, and there’s no word as yet as to what lies below that long dipping bonnet, though some iteration of Bentley’s 4.0 litre, V8 turbo would be a safe bet.
The headlights, well, the headlights are worth mentioning in a separate line and deserve a separate picture, just look at it. Wow…
Now to the best part of the concept, the interior. Any Bentley fan knows the commitment of the British giants with their one-of-a-kind interior goes way beyond anything you can imagine… for Bentley, it needs to stand out. And believe me when i tell you, it stands out! According to a Bentley press release, “Continuing the fusion of traditional materials and contemporary design statements, the doors of EXP 10 Speed 6 feature 3D quilting, milled directly in to solid straight-grain cherry wood. Each resulting diamond is finished with a copper centre.”
On the inside there’s a portrait 12-inch touchscreen, perhaps inspired by that of the Porsche 918, along with Bentley’s traditionally spectacular array of leather, metal and wooden trim.
Just drool over the pictures, and dream about running your hand along the Poltrona Frau leather, sitting next a beautiful woman who might just become completely irrelevant in comparison to the new Bentley EXP 6 Speed Concept.
