‘Baby’ singer Justin Bieber is making waves again but this time… in a good way. The Canadian YouTube sensation has been donning headlines since sharing details of a newfound friendship on the popular photo-sharing platform Instagram. This newfound friendship was with none other than 17-year-old Pakistani education activist Malala Yousafzai.

The 20-year-old singer posted a picture of himself ‘FaceTiming’ with Malala Yousafzai on Instagram for the whole world to see. The picture was captioned; “Just got to FaceTime with Malala Yousafzai. She has such an incredible story. I can’t wait to meet her in person and talk about how I can support her and the @malalafund. #love.”

Bieber has been in the news for a while now… He was most recently fined for speeding in the Middle East and his island bust-up with ‘Lord of the Rings’ star Orlando Bloom in Ibiza certainly made the rounds in the Social Media sphere.

But Bieber is also one of the most charitable celebrities in the world, and has donated money and lent his support to over 20 causes worldwide. On Wednesday Bieber publicly announced that he had added another incredibly important charity to that ever-growing list — The Malala Fund.

Malala became a symbol of hope and the face of raising awareness for women’s rights in 2012 when she was shot in the head by the Taliban for voicing her opinions against the oppression of women seeking education.

Celebrities who have supported her noble initiative include ‘Mr. and Mrs. Smith’ star Angelina Jolie, ‘Cruel Intentions’ bombshell Reese Witherspoon and her majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
