A trip to Paris just got more exciting — you can now stay for a night (if you’re lucky), at its most famous landmark, the Eiffel Tower, and have a vantage point over the ‘City of Lights‘.
Vacation rental site Homeaway announced on Instagram that the first floor of the Eiffel Tower is going to be transformed this summer into a one-bedroom luxury apartment that can easily house five guests.
Brian Sharples, CEO of Homeaway, said the timing for the latest venture was perfect, as France prepares for the Euro Cup 2016. After the scare of the terrorist attacks last November after which tourism took a dip, this could be the best bait to lure visitors in again.
How do you get to go? All you need to do is, in 140 characters, answer the question “What would you do if the Eiffel Tower was all yours for one night?” and your name will be entered in a draw for the prize.
The winners will also get extra nights in Paris, and full coverage for round-trip tickets. And just in case you’re wondering, during your stay atop the Eiffel dinner and breakfast are on the house – all you need to do is sit back, and enjoy the view.
