Ever since ‘Furious 7’ smashed the Box Office grossing over $1.5 billion dollars worldwide, the internet has been rife with news and speculations surrounding the eighth film in the blockbuster franchise.

Back in April 2015, ‘Furious 7’ director James Wan hinted that the next film could very well be the last time we see Dominic Toretto and his comrades on the big screen. But thanks to series frontman Vin Diesel, we now know that there will be a full ten entries in the ‘Fast’ franchise.

Vin took to Instagram last night to share the news with his 17 million followers, confirming an April 14, 2017 release for ‘Fast 8’ and announcing that 9 and 10 will follow on April 19, 2019 and April 2, 2021, respectively.

Diesel and Ludacris earlier posted on their Instagram accounts an image for ‘Fast and Furious 8’ with the backdrop of New York City, hinting at the new setting for the franchise. This will be the first time a Fast and Furious film will take place in NYC. It has also been suggested that the movie will honor Paul Walkers wish by going back to more street racing instead of using more blue screen and action sequences.
