Okay, now this is HUGE… Known best for his Bhaijaan-type on-screen personas, it seems Bollywood’s biggest superstar Salman Khan is looking to step out of his comfort zone.
For his upcoming release ‘Sultan’, Khan underwent a strenuous training regimen to prepare for the role of professional wrestler Sultan Ali Khan Cheema. But now, for the first time ever, it appears Sallu bhai is considering going bad!
According to showbiz tabloid PinkVilla, “The actor has been approached by two filmmakers to be a part of their sequels as a baddie. Do you know the film franchises in the question? It’s the multi-starrer Dhoom and Race.”
In the nearly three decades he’s been acting, Khan has yet to play the role of an antagonist. But if he does in fact decide to take the plunge, both ‘Race’ and ‘Dhoom’ would be great franchises to be a part of. The real question, however, is will Salman commit to either, when he has his own ‘Dabangg’ and ‘Kick’ sequels in the pipeline?
As per a source speaking to the tabloid, “Salman wants to play a cool, stylish villain. He has never played one before. His negative role in Race 3 is almost finalised, but discussions are still on with Aditya Chopra for Dhoom 4. The issue is a financial one where Salman wants a stake in D:4, just like Aamir had in Dhoom:3. Salman wants the same profit-sharing ratio that was offered to the D:3 star. Once that is finalised, he’s on.”
