It is said that the cornerstones of the internet are two wildly popular things: cats and porn. Recently, one of the internet’s most visited porn sites, PornHub, has decided to spread its wings (among other limbs) and penetrate the world of music. That’s right, you heard it here first: a porn website has launched a record label — talk about diversification!

PornHub Records officially launched yesterday along with a contest to find its official “anthem”. As submissions roll-in, the winner will receive $5,000 towards a music video that will premiere on Pornhub.tv and a minimum of 500,000 views guaranteed. With 40 million unique daily visitors to the website, that doesn’t sound like a hard (I can’t help myself) target to achieve. The competition, however, does not guarantee the winner a contract with the label.

In a statement to Billboard, PornHub’s Head of PR and Marketing, Matt Blake, said “We’ve always had a strong music presence from the beginning of PornHub. Artists upload their own stuff, like uncensored tracks and R-rated versions of songs. Some people come in and upload exclusive videos, so it creates a buzz for them.”

Over the summer, American rapper Coolio released a rather NSFW music video on PornHub for a song titled “Take It To The Hub”, for which he got half a million views in under a week; so there definitely seems to be a receptive target market.

Vice President Corey Price said, “We’re an ad-based network looking for content that appeals to our demographic. Mature lyrics for an adult audience; no boy bands or teen-pop, for instance.” Price said they’ve already received over 50 submissions, ranging across “erotic-folk, rap, country [music].”

So if you’re a person whose interests lie between the murky world of porn and music, you better act fast.
