2016 seems to be flying by as we tear into the second month of the New Year. With heaps of cinematic releases to look forward to (both Holly and Bolly), we run you through this month’s most highly-awaited (click on the title to watch the trailer):

Deadpool
Starring Ryan Reynolds as the Merc with a Mouth ‘Deadpool’ tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.

Zoolander 2 (aka Twolander)
Directed by Justin Theroux ‘2oolander’ picks up 10 years later, Derek and Hansel’s lives have changed drastically and they find they’re no longer relevant in the fashion world. But just like in the original all is not what it seems. Featuring an all-star cast including Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson, Will Ferrell, Penelope Cruz and Kristen Wiig we can’t wait for this film to hit the big screen.

Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny
The original ‘Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon’ became a surprise international success grossing over $213 million worldwide. It won over 40 awards including the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. The sequel tells the story of the Green Destiny, an ancient sword that is stolen from its sacred resting place, and it’s up to Yu Shu-lien (Michelle Yeoh) to get it back. To do so, she must team up with her former fiancé, Silent Wolf, played by Donnie Yen.

Gods of Egypt

Triple 9
