Jared Leto has some big shoes to fill after Heath Ledger’s spectacular performance in Christopher Nolan’s ‘The Dark Knight’. Ledger was even awarded an Oscar (posthumously) for ‘Best Supporting Actor’ so needless to say for Leto, the pressure is on!
But if anybody can do this, it’s Jared Leto…
The 43-year-old Oscar-winner himself, is reportedly taking the role of the ‘Joker’ to a whole new level. Charles Roven, one of the film’s producers, revealed that the method actor has been isolating himself from the rest of the cast, and getting people on set to refer to him as, ‘Mr. J’.
Adam Beach, who will appear as the villain Slipknot in the film, reportedly stated that Leto once sent a dead rat to Margot Robbie, bullets to Will Smith and a video of himself with a dead hog to the rest of the cast.
It is rumored ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’ will feature a few key scenes marking Leto’s debut as the criminal mastermind, before his eagerly-awaited performance in Suicide Squad. Both films are slated to release in 2016.
