The American reality TV star’s much-hyped maiden voyage to India has been nipped in the bud due to visa woes. As part of a three-nation tour to promote the launch of her 7th fragrance called ‘Fleur Fatale’, Kim was supposed to visit India, and also make an appearance on the iconic Indian version of ‘Big Brother’ – ‘Bigg Boss’.

A source from the organizers, who were responsible for getting the reality star to India stated, “Kim had to go to Dubai from India, but as per visa rules she had to appear at the consulate office in Mumbai as she was coming from a foreign country and heading to another foreign country. Unfortunately, her schedule is too tight and she would have been left with no time if she had squeezed in a visit to the consulate. She had to therefore cancel her India trip as she had a lot of commitments in Dubai.”

Kim shared a note on her Instagram account to inform fans about the unfortunate change of plan:
“To all my wonderful fans in India, I’m so disappointed I wasn’t able to come to India as planned. When the opportunity presented itself to make the trip, there was a short window to coordinate all of the elements necessary to make it happen. Unfortunately, time ran out so the trip has been canceled. I look forward to rescheduling and meeting everyone soon,” the picture read.

The 34-year-old mother, who shot to fame with the TV series Keeping Up with the Kardashians, would have been following in the footsteps of former Baywatch star Pamela Anderson and late reality TV star Jade Goody by appearing on the widely followed show. Hosted by Bollywood super star Salman Khan, the show is currently in its eighth season.

According to the Hindusatan Times, Kim Kardashian was supposed to be paid a whopping INR 85 lakhs, for just a day’s appearance on the show, and would have been accompanied on the set by a large entourage as well.

Known for her flamboyance and unapologetic vanity, Kim had planned to share tips with the 12 remaining contestants as well as grooving to a desi item-number in traditional get-up… Ohh, wouldn’t that have been a sight!
