Apparently, the Akshay Kumar – Abhishek Bachchan starrer ‘Housefull 3’ has become the biggest Bollywood opener of 2016.
Sajid-Farhad’s romantic “comedy” may have been slammed by critics but if the figures are anything to go by, the audiences have given it their seal of approval.
The film has been performing extraordinarily well at the Box Office and had a blockbuster Sunday. The latest installment in the ‘Housefull’ trilogy smashed the 50-crore barrier on opening weekend, raking in a whopping 53.31 crores. And to add a cherry to the cake, ‘Housefull 3’ is also the highest opening weekend collection of any film Akshay Kumar has ever made.
With an ensemble cast including: Riteish Deshmukh, Jacqueline Fernandez, Lisa Haydon and Nargis Fakhri, and with no other big-name releases in sight, ‘Housefull 3’ is well on its way to smashing the 100-crore mark, and is sure to enjoy a solid run at the box office.
