Following ‘Transformers: Age of Extinction’, which released back in June of 2014, release dates for the next three films in the blockbuster Transformers franchise have been announced.

According to tech site The Verge, there’s going to be a new Transformers film every year for the next three years. ‘Transformers: Age of Extinction’ grossed over $1.1 billion worldwide, becoming the highest-grossing film of 2014 and the fifteenth highest-grossing film of all time. It’s no wonder then that Paramount Pictures, the studio behind the super successful franchise, can’t wait to churn out more.

Series director Michael Bay had previously suggested that he wouldn’t return for ‘Transformers 5’ (at least, not as a director) but those rumors have since been quashed with IMDb confirming that both he and ‘Age of Extinction’ star Mark Wahlberg will in fact be back.

According to The Wrap, ‘Transformers 5′ has a release date of June 23rd, 2017; Transformers 6 of June 8th, 2018; and Transformers 7 of June 28th, 2019.
