They’re each incredible actors in their own right, but a film that combines the star power of Brad Pitt, Christian Bale and Ryan Gosling could go either way… Not since Steven Soderbergh’s Oceans trilogy have we seen an all star line-up like this.
For his upcoming film ‘The Big Short’, Anchorman director Adam McKay has cast Hollywood’s leading men alongside funnyman Steve Carell and Oscar-winner Marisa Tomei. Slated for release on December 23, the film is an adaptation of the Michael Lewis book by the same name. It’s a dramatic story showcasing the build-up of the subprime mortgage and credit crisis which led to the recession in 2006. The three lead actors apparently avail every opportunity to bet against the banks, and walk away with millions of dollars of other peoples money. And if the trailer’s anything to go by, 2015 will end with a bang!
