Somebody’s about to set fire to another world record. English singer and songwriter Adele’s newest album ’25’ is well on its way to becoming the bestselling album of all time.

Coming in at No. 1 on Billboards Top 200 for a fourth week in-a-row, the album has sold 5.98 million units so far. This breaks the previous record set by Taylor Swift’s ‘1989’ which sold 5.57 million.

Then again, Adele’s no stranger to smashing records.

In 2011 she was crowned Billboards ‘Artist of the Year’. The same year she made Billboard history by becoming the first female singer to top the artist, album and singles list. She was also the first British female artist to reach the 10 million records sales mark in the U.S. with her album ’21’. The album was the first to top the list two years in a row since King of Pop Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller’.

That makes Adele’s ’21’ and ’25’ (album titles after the age she was when they were written) the top two selling albums since 2009.
