Voted one of the “World’s 25 Best Architects” by Wallpaper magazine, Guz Architects are the award-winning team behind The Fish House, an eco-friendly beach house occupying 1000 square yards of Sentosa. It was for this design that the Singapore-based firm won the prestigious SIA Design Award in 2010, firmly cementing their place among the world’s top architects.

The Fish House is a haven for nature lovers, constructed specifically with the aim of bringing you closer to nature. It was designed in such a manner so as to let in as much of the sea-breeze as possible for natural ventilation. The spacious interior, high ceilings and glass walls provide 360-degree views of Sentosa at its best. And as if that wasn’t enough the whole house is powered by electricity supplied by photovoltaic panels lining the roof.

The roof itself is a work of art. It is curved to represent sea waves and partially-carpeted with real grass so one can indulge in outdoor activities and take full advantage of the breath-taking views from above. Once you’ve had enough of saltwater swimming in the ocean, simply dive into the crystal clear waters of the pool which surrounds the house in the manner of a moat.

With spectacular designs like The Fish House coming out of Singapore, we can’t wait to see what Guz Architects come up with next!
