Hugh Hefner always does things differently, even if that includes selling his house. Playboy Enterprises listed his $200 million home dubbed ‘the Playboy Mansion’, in LA’s trendy Holmby Hills, as up for sale, but on one condition – the present owner comes with!
Spread over five acres with a built area of 20,000 square feet, the luxurious mansion made history as the largest real estate purchase in LA when Hefner first bought it. It has served as his home and workplace for the past 40 years and he’s apparently loath to leave it, because he wants the new buyer to allow him to continue living there.
The Playboy Mansion has 29 rooms, a swimming pool with a cave-like grotto, a tennis court, game-room and even houses a four-bedroom guest lodge. It has been the venue for many of Hefner’s grand parties, celebrities and bunnies in attendance.
The future owner will have access to all the amenities the prime property has to offer, but must consider putting up with Playboy boss Hugh Hefner as a permanent fixture in the home – minus the bunnies, of course.
