A carbon-composite body, seats stitched with gold thread, and yes, diamond-trimmed headlights – these are the features of the Lykan Hypersport, the first car produced by Dubai-based W Motors.
With a price tag of $3.4 million dollars, the supercar is not all outward glamour. Its 3.7-litre 750 hp twin turbo engine can rev from 0-62 mph in just 2.8 seconds, faster than the Lamborghini Aventador. A fully interactive mid-air hologram interface is another feature that will please any discerning client.
The ultimate in luxury lifestyle, the Lykan comes with the best after-sales service too. The press of a button can get you a consultation with a tech advisor, and in case you drive out of the Middle East, W Motors will fly out a team of engineers anywhere in the world if you need them. The exclusivity factor is also catered to – W Motors will manufacture only 7 of these supercars, so the chances that someone else possesses an automobile just like yours are minimal.
The first automobile manufacturer in the Middle East, W Motors started 7 years ago, and Ralph R. Debbas, the 22-year-old CEO is very optimistic about creating a market for the company’s products. 70 workers contracted from Italy’s Magna Steyr build the car, with the engine and chassis imported from RUF in Germany.
Next in the pipeline for W Motors is the $1.6 million Supersport, ‘the first carbon-neutral car exceeding 1,000 hp. With production limited to 25 cars a year, it’s going to be another motorists dream’.
