Dutchman Louis Van Gaal has already made his presence felt at Old Trafford with one of his first orders of business. According to English media sources, Bayern Munich midfielder Toni Kroos has reportedly agreed to a Manchester United move for £20 million.

The move was initially engineered by former Manchester United boss David Moyes. Known for his ‘no-bullshit’ approach, Van Gaal quickly sealed the deal making his first foray into the transfer market and exercising his authority at his new club.

24-year-old Kroos is one of the best young midfielders in the world, and will be one of the key players to get the Red Devils back on top after what has been described as a miserable season.

Kroos is reportedly excited to reunite with former Bayern boss Van Gaal. He may even possibly be joined by teammate Arjen Robben, the experienced winger who has earned European and domestic silverware with Bayern Munich.

Robben and United forward Robin Van Persie are teammates in Van Gaal’s Dutch side for the upcoming FIFA World Cup in Brazil. Interestingly, Robben was one of Van Gaal’s first signings as the Bayern Munich boss, back in 2009.

Other players expected to be signed by Van Gaal will include Southampton defender Luke Shaw, for a reported £27 million. Borussia Dortmund defender Mats Hummels is also being considered to revamp the United back-line after the departure of Rio Ferdinand and former Manchester United Captain Nemanja Vidic.
