… it’s at the SCEI Spring Festival 2016! The fun-filled, two-day carnival for a cause will take place Saturday and Sunday at the Beach Luxury Hotel in Karachi.

The Special Children’s Educational Institute (SCEI) provides a platform for the optimal development of children and young adults with intellectual and physical disabilities from all socio-economic sectors of Pakistan. It was set up in 1996 to educate, nurture and care for children and youth with the goal of assisting each individual in achieving his or her maximum potential.

A not for profit fundraiser, the Spring Festival is being held to build the institute’s fund for disadvantaged children. The school’s first major festival it will also mark SCEI’s 20 years of service to the community.

This weekend’s festivities promise one helluva time. The festival will bring together some of Karachi’s top eateries for a worthy cause. Food on the front includes gastronomical delights from Breast & Loin, Desi Gali, Wingitt, TemptAsian, Rakaposhi and Ganache (to name a few).

Saturday and Sunday will also see performances by the uber-talented Komal Rizvi and legendary rock band Fuzon.

So come on Karachi, come out and have some fun — all dedicated to helping special children get the education they deserve!
