‘Dumb and Dumber’ was one of the most-loved comedies of the 90s. The film made comedian Jim Carrey into one of Hollywood’s most bankable stars. It was one of three blockbusters alongside ‘Ace Ventura: Pet Detective’ and ‘The Mask’ which released in 1994, and made Carrey a household name.

Now, much to the delight of longtime Carrey fans, he and his ‘Dumb and Dumber’ co-star Jeff Daniels are returning in a hotly-anticipated sequel slated for release this November. Carrey and Daniels will reprise the roles of Lloyd Christmas and Harry Dunne, in the follow-up titled ‘Dumb and Dumber To’ with original directors Peter and Bobby Farrelly.

When the two lovable morons get together again, hilarity is bound to ensue. Harry discovers he has a daughter and takes off with Lloyd on a road trip to find her, reportedly to acquire a new kidney. The returning supporting cast includes Brady Bluhm and Cam Nealy as Billy and Sea Bass respectively. Kathleen Turner has been cast as Harry’s former love interest and the mother of his estranged daughter Fraida Felcher.

Carrey is regarded by many as a modern day Peter Sellers. Some of his best-known films include: ‘Bruce Almighty‘, Liar Liar’ and ‘Batman Forever’ in which he played the villainous role of the Riddler. He was recently cast in the hit comedy ‘Kick-Ass 2’, and also featured in a cameo role in ‘Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues’.

A prequel to the original titled ‘Dumb and Dumber: When Harry met Lloyd’ released back in 2003. But the film (which didn’t feature either Carrey or Daniels) released to mostly negative reviews earning a 3.4 rating on IMDb.

Hopefully memories of the ill-fated prequel will be erased when Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels return in ‘Dumber and Dumber To’ for another doze of non-stop laughter on November 14.
